www.motherjones.com/blue-marble/2015/07/your-almond-milk-has-no-almondsBlue diamond has fessed up to using less that 2% real almonds in its almond milk. That's the bad news. The good news is that you've been drinking the stuff regardless that the growth requires 2 gallons of water to produce a single almond..you really aren't as bad as you thought you were.

Almond farming is the single greatest Ag consumer of water in California due to antiquated water rights.

I've given up on Almond Milk some time ago. Too sweet, and even the "unsweetened" variety does not taste much like almonds.
I always thought it was a scam, and that essentially consumers were buying very expensive almond-flavored water.
But I also do not understand this: "The class action lawsuit, filed by two unhappy almond milk drinkers in the US District Court in New York earlier this month, seeks $5 million in damages from the products' distributor, Blue Diamond Growers."
Five million in damages? What kind of damages, exactly?

I liked the flavor of the almond milk but the organic one...idk if they are all made that way. Too sweet for me too. Ok for an oz or two in some kind of a drink.. five million..guessing the attorney is hoping for a class action?

I never bought Blue Diamond. Tried it once while out. Not much flavor compared to what I used, which was one of the organic products. Stopped almond milk a few years ago and now use hemp milk. Unsweetened. No vanilla. (the vanilla sweetens it some)

Doesn't surprise me. Just like the coconut milks in half gallon jugs don't have much coconut, compared to real coconut milk.
