Now I hope I don't kill it by overwintering! My luck!

With my calla lilies, after I bring them in for the winter most of the leaves die back. I water the pot occasionally. Sometimes a new leaf stem will pop out.
But in the spring.... oh boy, all sorts of new stems pop out.
I get the sense that caladium, like the calla lilies, are pretty tough. Seems I have also heard that you can dig up the bulbs and winter over in peat or something like that, in a cool dark place. My pot is wintered in the bedroom near a west facing window

Here is the caladium which took a long time to arrive....thought it died Are they normally this tall? I repositioned the corm(?) from 7" down to 2" down. Maybe I should have left it alone. Should I put it into the garden? in the ground?

I saw a beautiful deep pink calla lily earlier. It was beautiful. I had only seen them in yellow. I was awestruck.

My cat has left the household plants alone so far....my problem is the set of shelves where my seedlings grow....loves to rummage around in there. It has a cover but she likes to get underneath and cause chaos!

My cat leaves house plants alone. But when I did have a cat who couldn't resist, placing pine cones in the pot and around the outsides of the pots kept her away.
