That's too bad, lisaann ... When I was out weeding last week, I found about 8 small lupines coming up here and there... Protected them from getting tromped on with some noticeable rock circles... Maybe you'll still find some too...

I didn't get a single lupine with my plantings last year. I think the rabbits did them in. And I am going to miss the local lupine fest this year???? Coming up this week end.

I saw several more little lupine seedlings popping up out of the mud... Trying to keep them protected from Summer's big paws...

Pretty much the same thing here since post of 2016... They pop up here and there, every now and then... There used to be a nice clump of them down the back here, then it just kind of petered out... Too bad...I liked them...

Like ahntjudy, I’ll have years with a dozen or more lupine popping up everywhere, mostly pink, then after a few years, maybe one or two plants will survive. I think they do better with seeds planted in the Fall, but this is just supposition. I used to save the seed pods but not lately. It should be a planned project for 2019.

With our wet "winter" this year the native lupines and poppies are expected to cover the hillsides throughout the state. Should be a spectacular display.
