For me I have to start off with a new light cord for the Stack and Grow System...it seems my pup chewed through the cord when I wasn't looking. Gardeners Supply has sent for a new 1...should be here by next weekend!!!
What are you starting off with?

Way too early for me to start anything yet but I have time to re-evaluate how I want to plant my greens beds this year... The way I had things planted last year was inefficient so I plan to improve on that...
I will most definitely be using the floating row covers atop and around the greens beds again this year... That had a huge deterrent effect on the leaf miners and other chewers...
My growing season is still a ways off...
Glad your puppy's ok and also glad it was an unplugged cord!...

Picked up 2 basil plants yesterday, Cuban and lime flavored one. Youngest daughter, who lives nearby, told me basil is one of her favorite herbs. They were on sale for .50 cents so I couldn't pass it up. Picked up a pack of "Mortgage Lifter" seeds too.
I ordered grow lights today and I am going to start some plants in the basement to see what happens. One of the reviewers who does a lot of research gives them a good recommendation. Here's the link if you want to take a look and I'll post my own results here.
We had a lunch at work today and the sandwiches came in two heavy duty cardboard tray/boxes with plastic lids. First thing I thought of was was a perfect set up for my seedlings before I even noticed the sandwiches.
desertwoman,Heck yeah I did. They will be perfect for moving the babies outside to harden off. The cardboard is nice and heavy, after that, right into the compost pile. The plastic lids will be used either as covers or under plants for watering. Will have to just wait and see what I need them for.
