Orange hair must be getting funds from pesticide manufacturers, or funds from their lobbyists.

People are becoming smarter about pesticides, wouldn't it be great if some of the poison companies lost income because of it? And maybe they are. They can silence some things, but not the public's mind and mouth!

It never fails to surprise (and irritate) me that so many people think Roundup (or other pesticide) is the solution to anything growing in the ground (whether a garden or lawn) that nongardeners think should be eliminated. I've lost track of the number of people who think that "just use Roundup" is an acceptable solution or good advice.
I'd love to see Monsanto and other pesticide manufacturers lose money and explain to their shareholders that people are becoming more discriminatory about what they use on soil. But it could always just file a Ch. 11 and contain its losses.

SpringRain🕊️ , I know people who use Roundup IN their gardens, AROUND their food. It does no good to educate some people. I do not accept produce from them.

Mumsey , I just cannot understand how people can avoid learning about what they use on their foods. I do think that a lot of people would rather "accept" than research for themselves. Well, I guess we can't enlighten everyone.

Just think about cigarettes - even after the bad effects of them were public knowledge, and the companies were forced to print it on the packages, yet people still buy them! Granted, this is totally different, with nicotine being an addictive substance, but some people just don't care!

Well, I guess we can't enlighten everyone. But we should continue to try. Have you seen Albert Einstein's thoughts that "he isn't afraid of those who produce these things; he fears from those who don't try to change them"

pepperhead212, sometimes I wonder if denial is a major factor in someone's life, as in "aw, it won't happen to me!" lilolpeapicker, no, I haven't read much of Einstein's thoughts. That's an interesting observation, one which could apply to the current political situation.
