The issue of contamination unfortunately goes back decades in the San Diego area. Reading about it is like watching one of those sci-fi horror movies about contaminated water and radiated monsters developing from discharge of pollutants into streams and lakes. Unfortunately, some of those sci-fi movies have story-lines that are grounded in fact.
I really doubt that Monsanto is shaking in its corporate boots, though, if it still has an option to file Ch. 11 as Johns Manville did as protection from its liability arising from asbestos use and resulting cancers.
But I'm delighted to see that San Diego has the guts to stand up to a corporate monster.
