Maybe he should worry about the problems we have in this country before he worries about how to feed the world.

If you actually listen to what he says, as well as the rest of that group, they are all science deniers, members of the Know Nothing Party.
One of his fellow Texans, a congressman, has said that we need to limit the number of wind generators because they will slow down the wind causing the earths temperature to rise.
I have heard little from that group of people that bodes well for our future.

Ted Cruz is an ignorant, retrograde idiot. It is hard for me to blieve that there are people who actually fund his campaign. What kind of world are they trying to shape for themselves and others?
I also find appalling that we are governed by congressmen like those mentioned by kimmsr. x_x

I went to fundraising event for our local congressman who I think he said he was on the science and technology subcommittee in the house. He mentioned the chairman is someone who doesn't actually believe in evolution which sort of amazed me. The only consolation I can take is that our guy is as far as I know the only openly gay Asian congressman which I'm sure annoys them a lot.

Unfortunately, this kind of ignorance is not limited to our congress people. There was a story, I did not copy the link and cannot find it again, about some homeowners that filed a lawsuit to stop a solar farm because the solar panels might absorb enough sunlight to cause the temperature of earth to drop.

a solar farm because the solar panels might absorb enough sunlight to cause the temperature of earth to drop. Too bad it is not that easy to drop the temperature or we wouldn't have to worry about climate change aka global warming. We could just build a few solar farms and fix the problem!

Speaking of 'anti science zealots,' Cruz was on NPR a while ago, explaining that global warming was just a pseudoscientific theory. Said the scientists and liberal politicians 40 years ago were touting global cooling as the big threat. When the data disproved it, he claims everyone reversed their positions and created the myth of global warming. Why? "This is liberal politicians who want government power over the economy, the energy sector and every aspect of our lives."
He denies the very data that NASA analyzes that indicates warming by simply saying it doesn't. He dodged the question as to why nearly every other country on the planet is supporting our liberal politicians' conspiracy. I found myself actually yelling at my radio.
He takes great offense at being called a "denier." Perhaps he would prefer "idiot?"

Chaos theory. "Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?"
