I'm not familiar with Lundgren but when the Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee tells a long-respected honey bee researcher like Jeff Pettis that he didn't "follow the script," objective research by the USDA is a joke. Worse, it's a sign of the corruption, or at best, the utter ignorance of some in Congress.
Some of the biggest political contributions to the former committee chairman, Rep. Austin Scott of GA, comes from the agricultural services & products industry.

I was going to comment before about the photo caption that said honey bees are critical to corn pollination, which isn't true. Corn is wind pollinated and does not rely on pollinators. Someone must have contacted them since it now says "Corn is regularly treated with the neonic pesticides some say are dangerous to bees."

Bees do not pollinate the corn but they are supposedly attracted to those water droplets along the leaf margins of corn and they get poisoned that way by getting a drink. Poor bees.

They also collect some low quality pollen from corn and expose the hive to the chemicals when they bring it back to the hive.

Do not get overly hung up about an error such as bees pollinating corn. There are a lot of people out there that have very little understanding of nature anymore. I am beginning to think nature is not being taught in school anymore.
